1956年　神戸新聞社に入社
1960年　日本デザインセンターに入社（-64）
1965年　第11回毎日産業デザイン賞受賞
1966年　三島由紀夫「終わりの美学」のイラスト担当
1967年　寺山修司主宰「天井桟敷」に参加、美術を担当する
1970年　大阪万博・せんい館パビリオンを制作
1973年　東京ADC賞最高賞受賞
1978年　講談社出版文化賞受賞
1981年　画家宣言
1984年　ベルギー国立20世紀バレエ団（モーリス・ベジャール主宰）
　　　　 ミラノスカラ座公演「ディオニソス」の舞台美術を担当
1987年　兵庫県文化賞受賞
